Our Strengths

  • The Science, Technology, and Advanced Research (STAR) Park is a 58-acre site that hosts STAR One, Texas State’s first technology incubator dedicated to research and commercialization efforts. Our clients include companies working in biotechnology, chemistry, and materials science industries, among others.

  • We are on the run to achieve research university status, our Run to R1! At Texas State University, applied research addressing real-world problems is our specialty. Our research offers students hands-on learning experiences that improve our community, country, and world. We partner with businesses, industry, government agencies, non-profits, and collaborators to bring innovation to society and the marketplace.

  • Education abroad enables students to diversify their educational experience and become more marketable in a global economy. Texas State University offers several faculty-led and affiliated-provider summer program options to cities around the world, allowing students to earn credit toward their Texas State degree plans while enjoying experiential learning opportunities and building their global business skillsets.

  • The Round Rock Campus provides exceptional academic programs, student academics support services, and training opportunities to students and the community in Round Rock, North Austin and Williamson County. To accomplish these goals, the RRC expands on the quality instruction of the faculty by providing: exceptional academic programs that utilize a variety of instructional delivery methods, efficient and effective student academic support services, career training responsive to community needs, and informative and creative lectures and community events.
