Charitable Donors Create Student Housing

Alamito and Cibolo Residence Halls

The Next is Now campaign transformed Texas State University’s landscape. Support from over 53,000 donors has allowed for the university to keep up with our growing classes. In August 2024, the largest freshman class in the university’s 125-year history stepped on campus – with over 40,000 students. To accommodate the growth, two beautiful new residence halls were built and had an opening ceremony last month.

Collectively, Alamito and Cibolo Residence Halls added approximately 1,000 new living spaces for students. By enhancing student life, supporting academic success, and promoting inclusivity, these new facilities contribute to a more dynamic, engaging, and supportive educational environment.

Student Housing Scholarships

Donors play a crucial role in this transformation by contributing to scholarships that offer funding for living expenses, enabling more students to benefit from these new housing opportunities and focus on their studies without financial stress. Their generosity helps shape the future of Texas State University and its students.

As our student populations grow and our enrollment numbers increase, new residence halls and new housing opportunities play a crucial role in the student experience at TXST. Many students need assistance with housing expenses. Generous donors make an impact by supporting housing scholarships.
